Celebrate You!
Ephesians 2:10 tells us we are his masterpiece. What do you think of when you hear the word masterpiece?
God tells us he created us in his Image. What he made was good (Gen. 1:31).

Here is one of the spiritual practices we did together in the class “God Delights in You.”
Celebrate, Ruminate, and Meditate
Look at a picture of you. Write what is good. Remember, you are made in God’s image.
List 20 characteristics about you. Include personality, gifts, talents, and skills.
List 10 of your accomplishments.
Take some time and celebrate each of your image, characteristics, and accomplishments. You can write, dance, sing a song, or whatever you choose to celebrate. Express gratitude for how you are uniquely created in God’s image.
If you enjoy art, create something that reflects your characteristics, such as a drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, or other piece of artwork.
Ruminate or meditate on your characteristics. Neuroscience research confirms how meditation rewires the brain. Those faulty beliefs and doubts about yourself can be transformed into self-love.
In your safe place, remove distractions (e.g., turn off the phone).
Ground yourself in your chair. Sink into the chair as if you are sinking into God’s love.
Take a few deep, slow cleansing breaths.
When thoughts come in, and they will…put them in an imaginary cupboard. Gently return to your truths.
Try this for at least 10 minutes every day or when those toxic thoughts come up. If all you do is ruminate or meditate on the truths about you, that is far healthier than experiencing what therapists call “monkey mind.”
Journal your experience.
