Training Introduction
Spiritual Direction with Survivors of Sexual Trauma
Creating Sacred Space for Healing and Wholeness
Did you know that one in three women and one in six men will experience some form of sexual trauma in their lifetime?
As spiritual directors and companions, we are often entrusted with the sacred stories of those who carry the wounds of such trauma. Survivors may come to us not necessarily to recount the details of their experience, but to seek spiritual grounding, meaning, and healing. In these moments, your role as a compassionate, attentive presence can be profoundly transformative.
This training is designed to support spiritual companions in cultivating trauma-informed awareness, deepening listening skills, and honoring the spiritual dimension of a survivor’s journey. Whether you’re new to this work or seeking to grow in your capacity to accompany others with care and confidence, you are welcome.
Come learn how to hold space for resilience, dignity, and the slow unfolding of grace.
