A Little Bit

Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit. Being on a cruise was quite a challenge to practice this one. Yet, I found much satisfaction in having “a little bit.”
Little Bit
Little bit.
A little bit is enough.
On board the French ship, The Jacques Cartier, I sampled delicious food.
The French eat a little bit. The appetizer fits in a dish that is 2 inches in diameter.
And yet those 3 bites were more than enough.
The same with the rest of the meal.
I walked away satisfied, not stuffed.
Spiritually, a little bit can be enough. Perhaps a short pause throughout the day to notice God’s presence. When you serve or work and the results of your labor are a little bit, be grateful.
Paul said he learned to be content with little (bit) or much.
In America, our portions are bigger than in France. I always tell myself to go home and eat like the French. But then I slowly sink into eating a full plate.
With a bloated stomach, I regret not eating a little bit.
Try a little bit.
A little time with God.
A little meal.
A little service.
If God is with you, then whether big or small, it is enough.
