A definition of hope is “To cherish a desire with anticipation.”
I cherish my family and community. I cherish my times with God at the beach.
And I cherish serving Christ with my talents he has given me.
I cherish traveling. For years, we took trips to Disneyland at Christmas time. My daughters anticipated going with excitement. I truly enjoyed it, too. Above is a picture of Small World all decked in lights. Gazing at the lights made the fifty-minute line seem like five minutes.
What do you cherish?
I desire to start a new Not Alone group in February and a God Delights in You course so others may experience freedom and being more grounded as the beloved.
I desire to deepen my roots, like a tree that is firmly planted. To embrace my worthiness without needing someone or something to validate it.
What do you desire?
I anticipate God will bring people to sign up to Not Alone and God Delights in You.
As of now, several are interested.
I have been praying for new leaders to “Pass on Not Alone before I pass on.” I will do my part and trust that God will do his.
I have also been reading Dr. Henry Cloud’s book on Necessary Endings. He says not to see endings as bad. Some things and some people were meant for a season. The key is to grieve the ending while believing, trusting, and hoping that God has something new for you.
My prayer is, “It is enough. God is enough. I am enough.”
What do you anticipate?
I anticipate all these small gatherings of family and friends this Christmas season.
Regardless of what 2026 brings, I have hope that Jesus will be with me.
What do you hope for this season?
